Today

We are Valentina and Emanuele, two young people united by our love for Elba Island. For Emanuele, it’s the land where he was born and raised; for Valentina, it’s the destination of all her childhood summers, the place that brought them together… and never apart again.

After building our lives and careers in the legal world in Bologna, Valentina, newly graduated, feels the desire to change course. She decides to leave the academic world—and the city—to embark on a new adventure: managing Emanuele’s family residence, built by his grandparents in the 1960s in Marina di Campo and recently entrusted to an agency.
Meanwhile, Emanuele continues to work as a lawyer in Bologna and escapes to the island whenever he can to contribute to this project.

Valentina is the more creative and dreamy soul, always with a thousand new ideas in her head; Emanuele is the more pragmatic and practical one, capable of turning dreams into reality.
That’s how it all started: partly for fun, partly as a bet, driven by the desire for a simpler and more authentic life, made of nature, sea, and encounters. After two years of working behind the scenes, we left the agency and stepped up to the front line. Now we’re here, ready to welcome you and write, together with you, the new chapter of this beautiful adventure.

Our values

Nature

Our residence is born in a place where nature is not just a backdrop, but a living part of the experience. Here you can relax in the garden, wake up looking at the hills, and listen to the birds singing. For us, nature is hospitality, beauty, and respect.

Connection

For us, connection means a double bond: one with the outside world and one with oneself. We offer spaces where you can work with a fast and reliable network, but we also invite you to reconnect with what truly matters. A place to feel part of something, meet people, share moments, or simply find your own balance.

Kindness

For us, kindness is a revolutionary act. It’s attention, listening, and respect towards ourselves, those around us, and the nature that hosts us. It’s choosing to slow down, to recognize beauty in small things, to move through the world with care. And this is reflected in our hospitality: simple, discreet, and genuine. An invitation to feel welcomed just as you are.

A Family Story

The story of Residence Olmi has its roots in the 1960s, when Mirta and Aladino (the grandparents), young and full of enthusiasm, almost single-handedly built what would become not only their home but a point of reference for friends and guests. Around them, their daughters Eliana and Doriana played among the buckets of mortar and wooden planks as the house gradually took shape.
It was 1966 when two German girls, arriving on an adventure on the Island, knocked on the door asking for hospitality. It was a simple, almost casual gesture, but one that forever changed the family’s destiny: from that first rented room began an activity that would expand along with the house.
Over the years, the spaces have grown, many people, who later became friends, have come and gone, and evenings spent together – with Aladino’s wine, laughter, and long chats – have become an indispensable habit. While Aladino tended to the gardens and vineyards surrounding the house, often helped by curious guests, Mirta lovingly cared for the garden and handled the hospitality.

Then came Ylenia and Emanuele, the third generation, growing up among the fields, the cellar, and playing with the young guests of the apartments, just as their mother and aunt had done as children. As they grew, the two siblings began to help their grandparents and parents in managing the property, until, with the grandfather’s passing and the grandmother’s aging, they took over, continuing the same convivial atmosphere they had grown up with, happy to share their beloved place.
Then, the kids grew up, and work took them away from the island, entrusting the management to an agency for a while. But the story, in the end, never really stopped… and it’s right here that it reconnects to the initial tale.

Our dream is to return to the roots, cultivate fruits and vegetables to offer our guests, share with them the care of the land, and celebrate under the stars, meeting new people who become family… adding some new features that we’ll soon reveal!
